The oldest Jewish congregation in Kansas - Wichita’s Congregation Emanu-El was founded in 1885. Since inception, we have been the region’s home for Reform Judaism. Today, we are a growing, vibrant community of 100+ families practicing progressive, liberal Judaism in America’s Heartland. We have always been committed to welcoming all - regardless of background or affiliation - who are curious about, respectful of, and steeped in our faith to join us in exploring the Jewish concept of “Tikkun Olam” (Repairing the World). Visitors, guests, and new members alike will experience something exciting - individuals collaborating - by sharing their unique gifts, talents, and perspectives, and operating at their highest potential - to make a better tomorrow for our congregation, our community, and the world.
PESACH (PASSOVER) remembers the liberation of the Israelites from Egyptian oppression. Learn more about marking the festival and join us for our Second Seder on Sat. 4/20.
We're always looking for special memories and personal experiences you've had in our sanctuary, on our campus, with our congregation, and the larger Wichita Jewish community.
