130+ YEARS OF GROWTH

We are very proud of our rich heritage and our role as the home of reform Judaism in south central Kansas. Here are just a few of our historic benchmarks.

  • 1885 - Founded - just 15 years after Wichita was chartered

  • 1903 - Began holding our services at First Unitarian Church (Topeka and Central)

  • 1932 - Moved in to our first temple building (Second and Fountain)

  • 1961 - Moved to our current campus

Congregation Emanu-El embraces a rich history and looks forward to a promising future.
